Cancer Awareness Programme

The Youth Red Cross unit of Sharada College has conducted a 'Cancer Awareness' programme with the slogan 'Stay Strong Keep Fighting' on 02.02.2024, at 2.00 p.m. to spread awareness of the deadly disease on the occasion of the World Cancer Day on 04.02.2024. The Resource Person for this program was Dr. Anoop Kumar, Associate Professor in the Department of DravyaGuna Vijnana, Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Talapady. Not only did he speak about causes of cancer, he also spoke about the precautions to avoid cancer, and also the treatment options. He has given awareness about precautions and cautions of Cancer to the Students. The Programme was Presided by our Principal Dr. Meena J. Panikker who spoke that the students also be aware of palliative care and make significant contributions to the society. It was followed by an active interaction between the resource person and the students. Ms. Meghana of B.Sc. Animation & Visual Effects was the master of the ceremony. Ms. Amitha Alva, YRC Program Officer coordinated the event.
