Graduation Day

Graduation Day was celebrated at Sharada College, Talapady on Saturday, 26.03.2022 from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. The Chief Guest was Prof. P.L. Dharma (Registrar Evaluation) of Mangalore University. Certificates were distributed to the young graduates. The university rank holders and toppers of each batch were felicitated.

P.L. Dharma in his Graduation Address spoke about the benefits of the National Education Policy, the need for nationalism, and the need for realising the responsibilities and contributions of the young graduates toward positive nation building.

Prof. M. B. Puranik, the President of Sharada Group of Institutions in his presidential address spoke about the need to preserve the value systems inculcated in the graduates by Sharada College and to be always proud of their alma mater. He stressed that education is not a mere obtainment of a degree certificate, instead it is a refinement of character that the graduates should be always conscious in improving.

The Institution’s ELC( Electoral Literacy Club) organised an invited lecture for the students of B.com ,BBA ,BCA and B.sc (Animation and Visual Effects) on 25/0/22 at Sharada College, Devi Nagara, Talapady, Mangalore – 23.

Dr Shivaprakasha , Director( Retd), Fisheries College, Mangalore, was the resource person.

He delivered his speech about the vastness of our country and also gave examples of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. He spoke about their thoughts and principles. He also stressed the importance of Swachh Bharat. He shared some of his life experiences with regard to the culture and tradition of our country. He also enlightened the students with his noble thoughts on voting power. Students accepted it with great zeal and enthusiasm.

IIC - Students offered opportunity for Product Launch

On 24th January 2022

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized an invited lecture for the students of B.Com., BBA, BCA and B.Sc. (Animation and Visual Effects) on 24/01/2022 at Sharada College, Devinagara, Talapady, Mangalore-23. Mr. Ganesh Sriram Founder –Slims Candle Company, Mangalore was the resource person.

Mr. Ganesh Sriram propounded on the manufacture of Zero-Waste Products. He proposed an opportunity exclusively to the students of Sharada College, to be a part of his team in a product development. The students accepted it with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Dr. Meena J. Panikker, Principal, Sharada College, Devinagara, Talapady addressed the gathering and gave the Presiding Address. Ms. Gayathri S. Vice-Principal and the President of IIC, Ms. Varsha V., Coordinator of IIC, the HoDs of various departments, the coordinators of IPR, Placement, Start-up, Innovation Council, ARIIA, NIRF, etc. were present.

Ms. Shrinidhi of III- Sem.B.Com. welcomed the gathering. Mr. Rohan Nachappa of III- Sem. B.Sc. introduced the guest. Mr.Vaishak of I- Sem. B.Sc. proposed the Vote of Thanks and Ms. Adeebah Gulzar of I -Sem. BCA. anchored the session.

Mass Surya Namaskara

On 14th January 2022

Sharada College, Talapady, affiliated with Mangalore University participated in the Mass Surya Namaskara at our college on the the auspicious day of the Makara Sankramana on this day of the 14th January 2022 to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiated by the Ayush Ministry, Govt. of India.

Our students are now among the proud 75 Lakhs people to create this unique record. The programme was organized by the

NSS unit of our college.

Mr. Shashi Kumar, the PED took the main role of leading all the students to do the Surya Namaskara.
