Companies are outsourcing animation projects to India for Animated TV Serials, Films, Visual effects, Commercials, Computer games and E-Content development. Indian Companies are also foraying into their own productions in Animation, Gaming and VFX Industry. Here are some interesting facts: The Gaming industry, on the other hand, has grown at a higher rate of 32% over the previous years and stood at an estimated Rs. 2.7 billion in 2007, up from Rs.2.05 billion in 2006. the animation industry will continue to maintain its growth pace and is projected to increase to Rs.40 billion in 2012 from its current size of Rs.13 billion. Domestic demand will create the fillip in its growth as well as contribution from international co-productions, especially in the television segment. With every passing year, animated movies seem to hit a new peak as far as critical and financial success is concerned – with 2009 boasting such smash hits as Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Monsters vs. Aliens, and up. With a strong mix of sequels and original works set to conquer multiplexes over the next several months, 2011 undoubtedly possesses the potential to establish itself as a record-breaking year for the animation genre.
